This project was a collaboration of work from 26 writers throughout Cornwall, accompanied by photographs from 26 Photographers. The show starts on Febryary 27th at The Poly, Falmouth, with an aim to take people on a journey through 26 Cornish places and their richly resonant names, uncovering layers of language and history. Curated by Julia Webb-Harvey and Tom Scott.
Shot on expired Velvia film, with a 35mm camera and vintage lens, my images evoke a nostalgia of a lived-in environment, caught in the partial reclamation of nature and time. An environment, 'made by man but owned by nature'. Images inspired by the poem and prose of Rebecca Pierce.

Hibernation
Unearthly cave in the place of willow trees, where long ago people took refuge, worshipped or stored their wares.
The land’s long-held secret lost in brambles and ferns along a dog-walkers' path with an old family's fortune.
Home now to sleeping horseshoe bats, sheltering till winter gives way to spring.
Made by man but owned by nature, dormant mystery alive with dream.
